Safety first! We require our guests to have previous experience in operating powerboats. To ensure your safety and that of others, practical knowledge is essential. Legal Note: Florida law states that anyone born on or after January 1, 1988, must carry a Boating Safety Education ID Card. If you don't have one, you can quickly obtain a 90-day Temporary Certificate online.
Get a 90-day Temporary Certificate (Quick) → Official FWC Boating ID (Permanent) →The minimum age for renting a vessel with CCBOAT is 28 years. Please remember to bring your Boating Safety ID or Temporary Certificate if you were born in 1988 or later.
Navigation & Boundaries
You can explore the beautiful Intracoastal Waterways. Note our strict boundaries: Boats are NOT permitted in the Gulf of Mexico (except for a 1/4 mile radius off Sanibel Lighthouse on calm days). Matlacha Pass is also prohibited. Limits: North maker 49. Captiva pass, South: Big Hickory Pass & drive round Ft Myers Beach, Sanibel Island, Captiva Island & North Captiva Island. River: ALVA. Yes, speed is strictly enforced. Idle Speed (2-3 mph) is required in all canals. Slow Speed (5-7 mph, no wake) is required within 1/4 mile of any shore. In the River/Sound, the limit is 25 mph unless otherwise posted.
Booking & Fees
Yes, a valid credit card is required. A 20% down payment is due at the time of booking to secure your boat.
We aim for transparency with our booking terms: • More than 3 months notice: The down payment is non-refundable. • 4 weeks notice: A cancellation fee of 50% of the rental amount applies. • 2 weeks or less: The full rental amount is charged as a cancellation fee. In case of unsafe weather conditions on your departure day, we will gladly assist you with rescheduling or providing a rental credit.
Wildlife & Extras
We love dogs! Well-behaved four-legged friends are welcome. Please ensure their nails are trimmed and protect the upholstery.
It is very common to encounter dolphins, manatees, and various rays. Bird lovers will enjoy spotting Ospreys, Pelicans, Bald Eagles, and Roseate Spoonbills.
